Heartfelt Native Teachings & Learning

Wednesday, November 6th – 6:30-7:30pm CT

Join us virtually on November 6th from 6:30-7:30pm CT to learn from Allison Waukau (Menominee/Navajo) Tribal Liaison and Native Relations Coordinator at the Metropolitan Council.

Allison’s presentation will cover key Native American topics, including land acknowledgments, cultural appropriation, and the impact of stereotypes and microaggressions. She will share personal experiences as a Native person, teach a few Ojibwe words, and provide resources on Indigenous foods and environmental values. The presentation will also offer insights into Native teachings and values, with an emphasis on allyship practices, helping participants to connect and learn in a meaningful way.

All are welcome! We look forward to learning along with our heart family and members of the community of all ages.  Can’t make it live?  Don’t worry, registered participants will receive resources from Allison and the link to watch the webinar after the event.
