Parent Time at Family Camp

One of the most highly praised aspects of our fall Family Camp weekends is the parent time session on Saturday afternoon. During this time, heart heroes and siblings are engaged in fun activities with Camp Odayin volunteers and visiting instructors and entertainers. Parents have an opportunity to hear from medical professionals, ask questions, and create connections with parents who have a child with the same (or similar) diagnosis.

In November, we were thankful to be joined at our Family Camp near Milwaukee/Chicago by Dr. Frank Zimmerman of Advocate Health Care in Chicago and Dr. Anoop Singh of Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Special thanks to Dr. Singh for permission to share his ‘Cardiologist’s Perspective for Kids and Families’ presentation and to Dr. Zimmerman for permission to share his ‘Exercise and Sports for Children with Congenital Heart Disease’ presentation. Both can be viewed and downloaded below.
