Feature on the Children’s Minnesota Blog

We’re so thankful to the Laumer family for sharing their story and their love of Camp Odayin with Children’s Minnesota for their Mighty Blog. The Mighty Blog features stories from around Children’s Minnesota, as well as health and wellness information for raising healthy kids. Below is a sneak peek at the start of the feature about Riley, his family, and their Camp Odayin experience. We’re so honored to know this awesome family!

Camp Odayin gives heart patients like Riley the support and confidence to thrive

Each year, approximately 40,000 babies are born in the United States with a heart problem, making congenital heart defects (CHD) the most common type of birth defect. As common as it may be, for children living with CHD it’s not always easy to find other kids who understand what they’re going through. Camp Odayin changes that. Its mission is to provide fun, safe and supportive camp experiences for young people with heart disease and their families – like Riley. Visit the Mighty Blog for the full story.

Huge thanks to Children’s Minnesota for this wonderful feature!
