Each year, a generous Odayin donor offers heart heroes that have participated in Odayin programs an opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship to support post-secondary education. High school seniors as well as current college students can apply and reapply each year. A 2.75 or higher GPA required. The award will be paid directly to an accredited technical, 2-year or 4-year college.
For NEW applicants: To apply, please write a short essay sharing your heart story and future plans. In addition, please use these questions to shape the rest of your essay: “If we spent a day with you, what would we learn about who you are? What does a typical day look like for you? Who do you interact with? What responsibilities do you have? What gives you joy?” (please limit to 500 words). Please send your essay and a copy of your transcript to Sara@campodayin.org.
For PREVIOUS recipients of the scholarship: If you were awarded the scholarship – the donors intend to continue the scholarship each year based on an update from you about how your year was, and continuation of a 2.75 or higher GPA. No transcript or essay needed. Send a paragraph with highlights of your year to sara@campodayin.org and she will forward this to the donors.
The deadline to apply or submit your update is April 6, 2026.
Applicants will receive a response by April 15th.
