Registration for MN Moms Retreat 2024 will open in March. Please contact info@campodayin.org if you have any questions or to be added to our heart family email list to receive future applications and opportunities to gather.
Overview
Camp Odayin offers two Moms Retreat experiences in different regions of the Midwest. The 2024 MN Moms Retreat will be held on April 27-28. Any mom of a heart child in 12th grade or younger is eligible to attend a Moms Retreat. Heart moms may choose to attend either session, but may only attend one. This supportive weekend includes riverfront accommodations at the Water Street Inn on the St. Croix River, optional “me time” activities, fabulous guest speakers, meals and camaraderie. Both retreats begin on Saturday morning and conclude at noon on Sunday.
Camp Odayin welcomes transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming parents to attend the Moms Retreat or Dads Day. Please contact us if you have any questions prior to registering.
Payment & Financial Support
Similar to our summer, winter and family camp sessions the cost to attend the retreat is $25, or whatever a family chooses to pay. Payment options within registration start at $0 to ensure that cost is not a barrier to joining us. Families who choose to pay more than $25 receive a tax receipt for their additional contribution. If you have questions on the cost of camp, contact the Camp Odayin office at info@campodayin.org.
If it would be beneficial to your family, we offer transportation support by reimbursing up to $300 for your travel costs. Contact the Camp Odayin office at brooke@campodayin.org for details on the travel cost reimbursement process.
Objectives
The Camp Odayin Moms Retreat weekend will seek to improve the quality of life of caregivers through the following objectives:
- Provide emotional support – Through time with other caregivers, heart moms will strengthen their support system and validate each other’s experiences
- Provide an opportunity for self-care – Heart moms will be offered restorative sessions and learn stress reduction techniques
- Empower and strengthen – Heart moms will gain resources and have opportunities to ask questions of experts to better support themselves and their families
Moms Retreat weekends are planned by amazing committees of volunteer heart moms!
